Brief Personal Background
I live just outside Charlotte, North Carolina, and I’ve spent most of my life around restaurants, real estate, and community. Outside of work, I love good coffee, deep conversations, and finding simple ways to make life easier for people who are busy building something. I’m a big believer in second (and third) chapters in life, and I’m currently writing mine through remote work, health optimization, and online communities.
Brief Professional Background
I’ve spent 40+ years in commercial real estate, restaurants, property management, and senior care, with a special focus on how deals are structured and how taxes impact the bottom line. Today I run Tax Logic CRE, helping investors and business owners use tax strategy (cost segregation, depreciation, and smarter entity structure) to keep more of what they earn. I’m also building AI‑powered systems that turn complex tax logic into simple, repeatable processes for busy community builders and operators.
How did you discover Skool?
I first discovered Skool while looking for a better way to combine community, education, and coaching without duct‑taping a dozen tools together. After joining a few high‑value AI and business communities, I realized Skool was the perfect home for what I wanted to build.
What inspired you to start your Skool community?
I kept meeting Skool hosts, coaches, and creators who were great at making money online but felt completely lost when it came to taxes and entity structure. Many of them were overpaying the IRS simply because nobody had translated “tax logic” into plain language for the Skool model. I started Tax‑Smart Skool Builders to bridge that gap so they can build real wealth, not just revenue.
What transformation do your members experience?
Members go from guessing and worrying about taxes to understanding the core moves that actually matter for Skool and community income. They start seeing tax strategy as part of their business model, not just a bill they react to once a year.
Who is your ideal community member?
My ideal member is a Skool host, coach, or community builder who is starting to make real money online and doesn’t want to give half of it back in avoidable taxes. They’re serious about building a long‑term business and want simple, actionable guidance—not jargon.
What’s one unexpected lesson you’ve learned from running your community?
The biggest surprise has been how relieved people feel once they can ask “dumb” tax questions without being judged. When you create a space where finances and taxes are safe to talk about, people open up, take action faster, and actually get excited about being organized.
If someone is considering joining your community, what would you tell them?
If Skool is becoming a real income stream for you, you need a simple tax plan as much as you need a content plan. Join to get clear, practical steps so you can keep more of what your community is already helping you earn.
