Enjoy Being Human

Brief Personal Background

Originally from TX, now in Upstate NY. Married 34 years with two grown children and one grandson. I’ve lived a full human experience… some beautiful, some uncomfortable, all of it valuable. I’ve always been tuned into energy and deeper meaning, even before I had language for it. Outside of that, I love crafts and play… painting, puzzles, beading, embroidery, crystals, herbs, nature, and miniatures. A little quirky, a little goofy, and I love to have fun.

Brief Professional Background

I’ve spent over 20 years working with people around thought patterns, emotional regulation, and relationships. I went back to school later in life, achieved a Master's Degree and became a licensed therapist. Over time my work has expanded into teaching practical life skills grounded in neuroscience and metacognition. I love helping people understand how their brain actually works so they can work with it instead of feeling run by it. I also teach Living Duality and Human/Spirit Integration practices.

How did you discover Skool?

Became part of Aaron Doughty and Vic Oddos Conscious Business Accelerator June 2024. Before that had never heard of Skool.

What inspired you to start your Skool community?

Moving away from traditional psychotherapy/mental health services under the rule of insurance dictations = finding a platform where I can be of service to more people. Affordable accessibility. Practical tools without bureaucratic limitations.

What transformation do your members experience?

People report an inner calming (regardless of external chaos). They start to understand what’s happening inside of them, both mentally and neurobiologically and instead of their mind and emotions running the show they report having more authority over their life. There’s more awareness, more steadiness and a growing ability to move through life with intention (responding vs. reacting).

Who is your ideal community member?

Someone who’s self-aware enough to identify their feelings just maybe not sure what to do with them. They are open, curious, and ready to learn and apply what they are learning.

What's one unexpected lesson you've learned from running your community?

What feels simple to me isn’t always simple to someone else in the moment. Breaking things down into small, clear steps makes a bigger difference than I expected.

If someone is considering joining your community, what would you tell them?

If you’re open to learning how to work with your mind, your emotions, and your real life in a practical way, you’ll fit right in. You’ll get things you can use right away, and space to go deeper if you want to. Just real-life stuff.
